I requested online an inspection of my new home before the one-year warranty expires. Bryan Naff replied within minutes that he felt he couldn't recommend an inspection since he didn't want to charge me for a report if he wasn't able to give me anything of value. As generalists, inspectors can't magically find things we wouldn't have noticed by living in the home. Instead, Bryan recommended that we operate and test things in our home, such as sink basins, appliances, a/c, garage doors, etc. It's rare nowadays to find someone who places such importance in providing value to the customer first. Thanks Bryan!Posted on Google

Ross Langston17 February 2019Really impressed! Our Architech inspector (Duane) spent over two hours going over our new home with a fine-tooth comb. He discovered plumbing problems and wiring issues that we had no idea existed! Rather than just "turning things on" to see if they work, Duane used several tools (thermal cameras, pressure gauges, humidity meters) to objectively evaluate appliances, plumbing, and drywall. His work culminated in a 15 minute summary presentation outlining required, recommended, and suggested improvements. He also produced a 40+ page report which contained a point-by-point evaluation of floors, electrical, appliances, plumbing, decks, and drainage. With this info in hand, we are better able to work with the sellers to ensure that major deficiencies are replaced or repaired prior to purchasing the property.Posted on Google

sevencheck14 September 2018Probably the most comprehensive home inspection I've experienced. Appreciated the no-nonsense, standardized checklist approach vice just looking for cosmetic issues and noting them. Duane did a masterful job of presenting his findings to us via FaceTime as we were off-island when the inspection was conducted. I certainly would use Architech Inspection Systems again!

As I mentioned in an earlier review, Architech Inspection Systems is and continues to be my go-to inspection company for my properties and when asked for referrals from clients. Duane and Bryan complete thorough inspections, provide a great report format for clients, and always accommodate scheduling requests. It can be easy to be a one hit wonder and get one 5-star rating to make a good impression, but then start to slip after that. Duane and Bryan have consistently delivered 5-star inspections and service over the years.Posted on Angie's List

Michael P.7 September 2021Architech Home Inspection team was extremely knowledgeable, when explaining the results of the inspection they did so in such a way that showed their knowledge of the subject matter. Not only did they provide a very thorough review they provided a report of the inspection both on disk and via email. In addition, they provided the long lost art of "service after the sale". When I reached out to Architech on a Friday after five with a question, they not only answered their phone they answered my question to great satisfaction. Aloha is alive and well in the Architech Home Inspection office. As if that wasn't enough, Architech gave us a home builder program we can use to manage our home projects; free!!!!! If i was able to give zero stars i would. Recommended by a realtor missed rotted post in our lanai, structural issues that cost us to have to build a retaining wall a year later. The sad part is before the purchase i did ask both owner of the company and inspector if the structural issue was something to worry about his response the home is sound nothing to worry about. If i could give a zero as a rating i would. beware of the quality of inspections these guys give not sure if they are just so busy that they miss things. Would definitely not recommend this company to anyone. When going back to owner to see if there was anything they could do to make up for the negligence...radio silence he was unwilling to call back and contact us.Posted on YelpAnders L.29 May 2026Verified
The inspector was very knowledgeable and since we were 5,000 miles away in NC he made 4 videos where he explained everything in terms a layman could understand. He also wrote the most comprehensive report I have ever seen (I have made real estate transactions in three countries and this will be my fourth in HI) and this is the best I have ever seen. He made it very clear what was a real problem and needed immediate attention. Things that had been done by an amateur and should be corrected and finally things that were cosmetic. Perfect. If you need a really professional home inspector in Oahu this company is the one you should turn too/Posted on YelpLori C.9 November 2025I am so happy I called Architech Home Inspection.
